Bèspoi – Sparkling Rosé from Lake Garda

“Bèspoi” means “rich in medlars”.

It is an old name tied to the hills of Soffaino, where medlar trees once grew and where the vineyards for this elegant organic rosé spumante now overlook Lake Garda.

The first time we uncorked the Bèspoi Millesimato 2023, we noticed the colour immediately: delicate petal pink fading into salmon tones with bright ruby reflections.

Even before tasting it, you sense this is something different.

A Sparkling Rosé Rooted in Tradition

Valtènesi has a long tradition of producing rosé wines.

Bèspoi takes that heritage and gives it a sparkling expression.

Made from Groppello — the native grape of the area — together with Marzemino, Barbera and Sangiovese, it preserves the authentic character of Lake Garda.

The grapes are hand-harvested in small crates and picked slightly earlier to maintain freshness and aromatic precision.

Natural Charmat Method

The second fermentation follows the natural Charmat method.

Slow sparkling at low temperature and ageing on fine lees create elegant, refined bubbles rather than aggressive effervescence.

The result is an Italian sparkling rosé that feels vibrant, delicate and beautifully balanced.

Nose: raspberry, wild strawberry and delicate floral aromas.

Palate: fresh, dry and silky with subtle salinity and a soft honeyed finish.
