Artisanal honey from Lake Garda originates from the rich biodiversity of the Benaco flora, where Mediterranean vegetation meets subalpine. Local beekeepers practice environmentally friendly and bee-friendly beekeeping, ensuring a pure, raw, and cold-processed honey without any industrial pasteurization.
Our selection offers an overview of the best blooms in the Lake Garda area:
Raw honey is a natural source of readily absorbable energy, rich in enzymes, vitamins, and antioxidants. In addition to its classic use with herbal teas and warm milk, it pairs wonderfully with local cheeses (such as Formai de Mut or goat cheeses), fresh fruit, yogurts, and in the preparation of traditional desserts.
It means that the honey is not subjected to high-temperature heat treatments. Pasteurization makes honey consistently liquid but destroys its nutritional properties and delicate aromas. Our honey retains all its original qualities.
Crystallization is an entirely natural process and a guarantee of honey purity (with the exception of Acacia honey, which remains liquid for a long time). If you prefer it liquid, simply warm the jar gently in a bain-marie below 40°C.
